Emerson – Aventics

Emerson-Aventics is a leading producer of pneumatic and automation technologies.  The modern Aventics company can be traced back to Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies Corporation (WABCO), founded in 1869 by George Westinghouse.  Throughout the early 1900s, the company built pneumatic brake systems for trucks, trains, buses, and industrial machinery.  WABCO entered the heavy equipment manufacturing marketplace in 1953 and in 1989, sold their pneumatics division to Rexroth.   Bosch Automation and Rexroth merged in 2001 forming Bosch Rexroth who developed much of the modern part numbering system used by Emerson-Aventics today.  Bosch Rexroth sold their pneumatics division in 2013, it was renamed Aventics, and in 2018 it was acquired by Emerson.  MacroMotion has been an authorized distributor of Aventics since 2018 but has been distributing pneumatic products for Emerson since 2005 through our partnership with Numatics.  Many of the Numatics and Aventics products overlapped in terms of utility so since 2018 Emerson has been phasing out the Numatics line in favour of Aventics.  As of the end of 2024 both brand names still exist and MacroMotion is an authorized distributor of both product lines which offer high-quality pneumatic and automation products that have applications in any size, scale and sector of manufacturing.
